[EN] Athens Art Book Fair 2020: The Local Edition was planned to take place in Kypseli Municipal Market on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 of September, 11am-8pm. unfortunatelly due to measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic the event was rescheduled for 2021.
The second edition of the Athens Art Book Fair invites us to think in a smaller (geographic) scale and to reassess notions of locality. Turning the insecurity that surrounds international travels into an opportunity for introspection, this year’s edition focuses on publishing practices based in and around Greece and attempts to present a sample of the diverse publishing works produced in the Balkan peninsula.
[GR] To Athens Art Book Fair 2020: The Local Edition ήταν προγραμματισμένο να πραγματοποιηθεί το Σάββατο 26 και την Κυριακή 27 Σεπτεμβρίου στη Δημοτική Αγορά Κυψέλης, 11πμ-8μμ. Λόγω μέτρων που σχετίζονταν με την πρόληψη της εξάπλωσης του COVID-19 η διοργάνωση αναβλήθηκε για το 2021.
Η δεύτερη διοργάνωση του Athens Art Book Fair μας καλεί να σκεφτούμε σε μικρότερη (γεωγραφική) κλίμακα και να επαναπροσδιορίσουμε την έννοια του «τοπικού». Μετατρέποντας την ανασφάλεια που επικρατεί γύρω από τις διεθνείς μετακινήσεις σε ευκαιρία για ενδοσκόπηση, η φετινή επιμέλεια του AABF εστιάζει σε εκδοτικές πρακτικές που δρουν εντός και γύρω από τον ελλαδικό χώρο, και επιχειρεί να παρουσιάσει ένα μικρό δείγμα από τον πλούτο των εκδοτικών πρακτικών της Βαλκανικής Χερσονήσου.
